Dummy of a gift catalog prepared by the staff of Vogue magazine under the direction of editor Jean Pearson in September 1948. The volume consists of photographs that depict fashionable gifts for Christmas 1948 with captions, instructions, and other designer notes. The gifts are arranged by tabs for different recipients, including a debutante (young woman), junior (young man), husband and wife, aunt (single woman), uncle (single man), party hosts, country couples, and other friends, followed by general items for gardens and houses. Gifts include clothing, furniture, dishes, appliances, and home movie cameras.
