The Theatrical Portrait Gallery of Charles DeForest Fredricks created the majority of the carte-de-visite photographs. Photographs of minstrel performers not wearing blackface makeup consist of George W. Bailey, Lew Benedict, Theodore "Gustavo" Bidaux, Billy Birch, Frank Brower, Jerry Bryant, W. S. Budworth, S. C. Edwin Green, Eph Horn, George W. Moore, Charles A. Morris, Tommy J. Peel, David Wambold, and Charles T. White. Etchings of actors consist of William Rufus Blake, Adolphus H. Davenport, Edwin Forrest, George Jordan, Harry Langdon, John T. Raymond, Peter Richings, John R. Scott, Edward Askew Sothern, and Charles Wilkinson. Etchings of actresses consist of Fanny Brown, Ann Cruise, Kate Fisher, Mary Gannon, Mary J. Gladstane, Madeline Henriques, Mrs. George Jordan, Laura Keene, Caroline Richings, Emma Elizabeth Taylor, Ada Webb, and Mollie William. Etchings of pantomimes consist of Harry Gilbert and Harry Leslie. Etchings of dancers consist of Sally Bishop, Joe Brown, Isabel Cubas, Mary Ann Fielding, Annetta Galletti, Samuel Hague, Tim Hayes, Kate Pennoyer, Marietta Ravel, Lizzie Schultze, and Marie Zoe. Etchings of theatrical producers and managers consist of Charles H. Duprez, George K. Goodwin, Samuel S. Sanford, Sam Sharpley, Gilbert R. Spalding, and William Wheatley. Etchings of authors consist of Dion Boucicault, John Brougham, and Artemus Ward. Etchings of singers consist of Eva Brent, Julia Holman, Sallie Holman, Adelina Patti, Gus Shaw, and Felicja Vestfali. Etchings of sportsmen consist of figure skater Jackson Haines, in addition to billiard players Dudley Kavahagh and Louis Fox. Etchings of other individuals include Jonathan Harrington, a ventriloquist; Tom Watson, a clown; Marietta Zanfretta, a tight rope artist; and Frank Pastor, who has an unidentified occupation. The album includes a color lithograph of a woman reclining on a chaise lounge. Collection also includes a copy of a song, "Personals in the New York Herald", written by Harry Stanwood, arranged by Charles E. Pratt, and published by William A. Pond and Company, New York, 1868.
