 Notes:  Tintype portraits of unidentified men, women, and children, approximately 1870s. The sitters are in studio settings; some of the portraits are hand-tinted. PhotPF 20237 depicts two young women dressed in white, seated and with their arms crossed; a male figure with his face partially obscured stands behind them. PhotPF 20243, a head-and-shoulders portrait of a young man, is an example of a painted tintype. Photographers are unidentified. Title devised by cataloger; date approximated by cataloger based on photography format. 
 Extent:  8 photographs : tintypes ; most approximately 3 1/2-4 inches x 2 1/2 inches, painted tintype 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches.
