 Notes:  Autograph manuscript containing mathematics lessons, with tables, diagrams and illustrative sketches. Titled sections are devoted to geometry, trigonometry, allometry, planimetry, and "Dialing." The longest chapter in the volume, "Dialing" contains instructions for the construction of dials and several illustrations of completed instruments. Ownership inscription on front flyleaf: "John Williamson his Book. Dec. 25th 1785." Binding: original quarter calf over marbled boards.
