16Title:  Mizrah plaque: Breslau, Germany, late 19th century or early 20th century
Notes:  Printed on paper with a green background. The document is in very poor shape and is pasted onto a hard backing. On the top are depicted the 12 tribes of Israel in a semi-circle and in the center is a depiction of the 10 commandments. Beneath the tribes are two circular maps, one of the Israelite wanderings in the desert and the second is a depiction of the tribal division of the land of Israel. The main body of the mizrah is divided into three sections. In the center is a large image of the Temple in Jerusalem and above it is the traditional statement for a mizrah: "From the rising of the sun to the going down thereof, the Lord's name is to be praised" (Psalm 113:3). Surrounding the image of the Temple are biblical scenes, such as Noah's sacrifice after the flood and the appearance of the rainbow, the destruction of Sodom, the capture of the city of Jericho, and many others.
