The Historical Medical Library will be celebrating Women’s History Month by displaying ephemera, books, and archival material by women or about women in the history of medicine!

Some highlighted items include Margaret Sanger’s books and ephemera on the right to use birth control and William PlayFair’s before and after portraits of women given the “rest cure.” The rest cure was made famous by Charlotte Perkins Gillman in her novella, The Yellow Wallpaper.
