Searching for Olga is a book-length project that explores the history of nursing, veteran disability, gender, and historical memory in the aftermath of World War I. The book connects the story of Wisconsin nurse Olga Lichtenberg to the broader experiences of women who served near the front lines, suffered war-related injury, and came home to understand their war service.
